Thought this was pretty cool...
Posted: Wed Jan 23, 2008 8:39 pmA close friend (and SMU alum) who lives in New Orleans is at the Tulane game tonight and he said the crowd was pretty sparse. When the team came out for warmups, Coach Doherty noticed my friend and his wife wearing their SMU garb and came over to talk to them. My friend was so impressed; Doherty chatted them up about how long they've lived there, and thanked them for their support of the program. When my buddy remarked that there were a lot of postive things going for SMU, Doherty said it was a great time to be a Mustang.
