Question for DOH about Memphis Game

Why didn't we do hack-a-Shaq the entire game? It just doesn't make any sense, Memphis is so bad at free throws and playing them straight up we didn't have a realistic chance of winning.

BTW, 3 offensive rebounds??? Are you kidding me?

we would have been down to 3 or 4 guys if we did the "hack a shaq"

I used that ploy once when I was coaching and my team got into overtime and won the tip and I told them to hold the ball for the last shot. Unfortunately, my gunner decided he was open from 3 point range and bricked one. I ended up the game with 3 players on the floor.

Maybe because playing againt a vastly superior team is something you will encounter and actually playing the game might help improve the players for future seasons (which seeems to be where we are right now).
