Congrats to Ladies on extending their win streak to 7 games however you have "Unfinshed Business". Below is the link to the AP poll and SMU got 3 votes for the Top 25. Also the second link is to the ESPN poll. I believe they really need to win and will win this Thursday just so they know what we all know and that is they belong in the dance. As I stated before the season started this is a special team who is on a mission and they are peaking at the right time. Great job ladies however it ain't over! Go Mustangs!

All 3 from the same guy who voted for us earlier in the season.

one would have to think a win over ranked utep at their place would generate a little tournament respect.

Probably true, but I want to see a conf tourney win, too

How is TCU in? Is that just because of their strength of schedule?

Our RPI currently stands at 52 (according to College RPI) which is probably not enough to get us in. A win at UTEP would be huge as they are 22.

As much as I want them in, I think we are a bubble team unless we win the tournament. And then, CUSA may still only be a one bid league like last year when East Carolina won the tourney and Tulane was left at home with a 24-6 record.

I would say yes. Their SOS is 59. Ours is 118. They have quality wins over Oklahoma State and Wyoming, with bad losses (outside the top 100) to Rice and Houston.

Our quality win (before UTEP  ) is Kansas, and they're sinking fast at 42. Our losses to Manhattan and Tulsa really hurt our RPI.

Sadly, I think you're right. A win at UTEP, thanks to them being so ridiculously overranked, would help. But I bet we have to win the CUSA tournament to get in. I'll be ecstatic if we get into the NCAAs, but I'll be excited and cheering loud - in person - if we end up in the WNIT, too.

Either way - I love watching this team play. GO MUSTANGS - BEAT THE HELL OUT OF UTEP!

There are lots of RPI rankings out there, but the RPI ranking that the NCAA uses is located here:
http://web1.ncaa.org/app_data/weeklyrpi ... Brpi1.html

It hasn't been updated since last week - they update it every Tuesday afternoon. As of last week, we're No. 59.

Maybe this is wishful thinking however based on the above number then we should be in the dance. That says we have the 59th most difficult schedule in the country and it's 64 teams that make it to the dance, right?
Go Mustangs!

Is RPI just some formula some guy came up with that works or what?
