WHITE OUT MEMPHIS

Hey everyone, Wednesday night Moody will be rocking when big dogs of the C-USA come to town, the Memphis Tigers. Taking off what many other schools and pro franchises have done, I have created a Facebook group to White Out Memphis. I am in the process of writing Coach Doherty an e-mail to tell him about it. I am also going to contact the Editor of the Daily Campus to put something in the paper about it. If everyone contributes and wears white to the game, not only will it look cool, but I feel like it was raise the spirit level in Moody.

With this said, I need everyone on Pony fans that plans on attending the game to WEAR WHITE, but also TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO WEAR WHITE to the game.

Thanks and Go MUSTANGS

Why don't we red or blue out Memphis? It sure would be nice to use our school colors occasionally.

We have school colors...huh....didn't know that...good luck with whichever greek houses are required to attend. If their jersey isn't white they are going to stick out like a sore thumb.

It worked for Vanderbilt against Tennessee. That was a fun game to watch.

Wow I didn't think that people would tear this idea to shreds. Jesus Christ; I am trying build support in the SMU community, it is about bringing together SMU people, Greek, non-greek, black, white, brown, purple. It's about SMU, and we need to support our athletes. I guarantee you the stadium is sold out and it would look so awesome if everyone wore white.

The reason I chose white, it's the easiest color.

I'm sure all the Greeks still have their white pledge t-shirts that they had to run around in. White out is a great idea. Last time I checked the home team wears white in basketball.

What makes a color easy. Stupid me would have gone with a school color but if whte is easier to make I guess then white it is. In my world I deal with all colors equally.

In all seriousness, I do not see how support is built by leaving out tradition.

regardless of color, it would be cool if everyone did it.....but right now we don't have enough real fans. Maybe when we become tourney bound we can pull it off, don't mean to poo poo on your idea - but that is just the state of the program for now. But hopefully your energy will catch on in the future.

Are you insinuating that I am somehow a racist by picking white? Are we really going to there...come on

Why did I pick white:
1) Who doesn't own a million white t-shirts? Yes I agree that red or blue would have been cool because it is our school colors, but to me..
2) White is the easiest color to get everyone to wear because it is so many clothes are white
3) Many of SMU's shirts that they give away are white (i.e. the Pony Up Shirt, Coach Doh shirt, SMU Welcomes June Jones

I wanted to choose a color that everyone could wear easily and I chose white based on how many t-shirts/collared shirts are white

I think wearing Marilyn Manson Tees would make a huge impression.

No it was not meant to be racist. I would believe that most people do own a lot of white shirts. I would also imagine most would only where 1 shirt to a game. I would also assume that many people also own 1 blue or 1 red shirt in their wardrobe. I do not care what you want to do. First, I agree with ponydawg that although a noble attempt, not enough locals will honor your plea. But it still aggravates me that people refuse to acknowledge that our colors are red and blue. Perhaps we could just do shirts and skins. Fraternities shirts, and sororities skins.

Since the game is on a Wednesday, I'll be wearing whatever I wear to the office that day. Which, unfortunately for me, won't be a T-shirt.
