As a college basketball fan, I absolutely love championship week. Really, you can consider it the first rounds of the NCAA tournament because you get to see some crazy stuff in the conference tournaments.
We can argue about the merit of the bids and the tournaments themselves, but the $$ makes that irrelevant. It will never change. I just like watching the games.
On Sunday, I started with the SMU women, moved on the Maryland-UVA men, then switched over the end of the LSU-Tennessee women and now watching the double header with Gonzaga and St. Marys.
I also love when the big conference tournaments get going, you have those afternoon games that start at 11 a.m. It happens on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Fun stuff. Love college hoops.

Not really. I'm talking about from a sports watching standpoint.

It's basketball season. I'll worry about football in April at the spring game and go from there. I don't get too amped up over press conferences.
BTW, how about the San Diego comeback over St. Mary's in double overtime. Great stuff since they were down by as many as 14-16 points.

Making it to the NCAA tournament beats hiring any coach any day of the year! It is all about winning! The exciting thing about a coaching hire is the expectation that coach brings in terms of winning games! Hence I am even more excited when we actually won something! Trust me, the day SMU football makes it to a bowl game and wins conference championships and bowl games will beat the excitement of JJ's hiring.

JJ's hire is nice but you have to wait about 3-4 yrs.
This happens every year and is the most exciting thing in sports hands down. Best time of the year BY FAR!

the best week ever is the first weekend of the big dance IMO...nothing beats 33 games in 6 days for me.

Going back and forth between the Sun Belt and Horizon championship games.
On Wednesday at 11, the big boys get going with the Big East. Let the fun begin.
