Why would you get grief? I am working on aquiring one of those hats myself. I'll be wearing it to the NCAA tournament games and to the spring football game, if anyone wishes to make a comment to me.

He is married. Got married in Costa Rica. Just bought a house on Vanderbilt and is closing today.

That's a great point, Ralph. I searched the C-USA site myself and there was nothing there about championship apparel.

C-USA is headquartered in Irving. I'd give them a call and see what's up. Maybe they brought a few caps back from Orlando.

But don't be surprised if they don't make any C-USA Championshi merchandise available to the public. It is women's basketball and SMU, after all. They probably don't figure to have much demand. Would be nice if they did, though.

Most of their staff, including the one who orders the championship merchandise, is in Memphis this week. They went straight there from Orlando.

Rumor has it Conference USA is going to make merchandise available. I'll try to find out for sure.

SMU will host a special NCAA selection show party Monday, Mar. 17 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Ten Sports Grill in downtown Dallas. Mustang fans are encouraged to attend the event. Come out and cheer on the Mustangs as the NCAA Tournament schedule is unveiled LIVE on ESPN beginning at 6:00 p.m. Championship apparel will be available for sale at the event. I spoke to some of our coaches this afternoon, they have a limited number of the original hats that will be available for fans, but they also have ordered more, so anyone who wants one should be able to get one, soon.
