How are they ranked No. 15?

They have three players scoring over 10 per game, but nobody over 15. They don't have any awful losses, but they're not killing anyone, either.

What am I not seeing here? I know their coach has won a zillion games and gotten to Sweet 16s and Final Fours and even won a national title, but not with this team. They're good, but ... No. 15 in the country?

Someone who follows this more closely please fill me in. Thanks.

Also: anyone know how long a drive it is to West Lafayette?

See the other thread about this for driving distance. I even broke it down into cost.

I think part of thier ranking comes from being in the Big East.

i think they finished 4th in their conference...one of the toughest in Wbball. but they definetly arent worthy of that 15 seed. thats why we "upset" them in the first round.

#15 rank, not seed. There is a difference.

I think this will be a really good game, especially since ND seems to have been on a mild skid lately and we are playing at a very high level. That being said, after leaving on the jet plane Saturday -- I don't plan to be back until Wednesday.

There really isn't any large difference in teams once you get past the Top 10 where we are concerned. We can play with anyone and if we do what we are suppose to do then we will meet Tenn in the Sweet 16. We match up well with ND based on their line-up. Notre Dame don't really shoot the three and their best big person is out with an ACL. THey do have a big body girl but JD can handle her. After beating Notre Dame in a good game we will meet Oklahoma maybe. If it's Oklahoma then I feel good about our chances. They do not shoot the ball well and the Paris Twins can be contained. They won't be an easy win however if we run on them and shoot well we will win.

Next would be Tenn. Anything is possible in March.
