Just saw that Sutton is being fired at OSU. Is that new or old news?

It's new. It's still not official, but it's probably not entirely unexpected either.

Well, that would give your "sky is falling" bretheren more fodder, but no way they go after him. He is a very accomplished coach, with his national coach of the year award, but his SMU record would be hard to sell to OSU boosters.

IN two years that will be a problem - not now.

and maybe we can get a better coach...
OSU wont want Doh. Im sure they'll try to talk to McKillop of Davidson.

McKillop will NOT leave Davidson for OSU. He's had opportunities to leave before and hasn't...I think he will be at Davidson until he retires (which may be only a few more years).

That's just a ridiculous statement. Go to class.

Two words: Billy Gillespie
Don't laugh. He hasn't set the world on fire (at least in a good way) in Lexington, and I think he still hasn't signed a contract.

Bill Self has more of a chance of being the next OSU coach than Gillispie does.

Why would Self leave Kansas? Did he go to OSU?

Yes...
he has given a press conference in which he basically said that he isn't considering the opening at the current time (what coach with a team in the Final Four wouldn't say that?) but "it could happen"

Self did go to OSU, but unless Boone Pickens underwrites an absolutely ridiculou$$$ offer, he wouldn't take a major step down like that.

The rumor on the radio in Houston yesterday was Pickens is willing to underwrite a 10-year, $32M - $34M deal for either Gillespie or Self.
This also makes it seem clear Gundy had better win big this year or he'll be ranting somewhere else in 2009.
