Clippers renounce rights to five players

Postby PonyPride » Thu Jul 10, 2008 10:21 am

The Q is not among them.

According to ESPN.com, they are Shaun Livingston, Dan Dickau, Boniface Ndong, Smush Parker and James Singleton.

No kidding. How angry is Baron Davis after watching his buddy bolt for Philly?

Word is New Jersey likes The Q. I'd bet there's not an NBA coach alive who wouldn't want a stud defensive player who doesn't care if he scores or not on the roster.
Just can't see him enjoying life in New Jersey (although a few million bucks a year would help make that place more tolerable).

I doubt he's that angry. He had every intention of coming back to LA in one way or another. Now he can be the top dog on a really crappy team.

If you really think about it, who did they renounce rights on that was really worth anything? The only one you can make a case for is Livingston but that injury he suffered looks to be pretty severe that they just figured they would cut their losses and move on.

Yea, that part of New Jersey is pretty trashy, but that's why NYC is just 30 minutes (with some light traffic) away.
