Ryan Maag - Walkon?

Noticed that Ryan is listed on the roster and no one has discussed him that I can tell. From his bio it looks like he can shoot the 3! Anyone have any more info on this kid?

Prep: Four-year letterwinner for coach David Canfield at Houston Second Baptist...Two-time All-State first-team selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and two-time TAPPS Final Four All-Tournament Team member...Three-time TAPPAS 5A All-State selection, three-time TAPPS All-Star, four-time TAPPS 5A All-District, and three-time Houston Chronicle All-District honoree...Also named Team MVP three times, District MVP as a senior, and Oustanding Freshman in his district...Two-time champion of the 3-Point Shooting Challenge at the McDonald's Classic in Marble Falls, Texas...As a senior, he average 20.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.7 steals while hitting 49 percent from three-point range and 84 percent at the line...As a junior, he averaged 18.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.5 steals while htting 50.5 percent from long range, 56.4 percent overall from the field, and 84.4 precent at the free throw line...Team made the Final Four his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons, including a runner-up finish his sophomore year.

Club: Played for club Total Package and coach Bryant Bond. International: In the Summer of 2006, between his sophomore and junior seasons, he was selected as a member of the European New Release Basketball Missions Outreach team, which is an athletic ministry organization...The team went 10-1 traveling throughout Germany and the Netherlands putting on clinics and playing exhibition games against semi-professional teams.

Personal: Son of Donna and Greg Maag...His dad Greg played one year of baseball at the University of Florida...His older sisters, Laura and Rebecca, played varsity softball and basketball...Born in May of 1989.

When's the last time we had a walk-on with numbers like that?
49 percent from three-point range is hard enough to do when you're playing HORSE. In real games, that's a potential goldmine.
