went to Duke's practice today. As for the three new guys, Plumlee is the real deal. The guy Eliott can play too. Czyz much less so. But that's Duke.

This evening Kevin White said "Steve is a great one" about the mob boss. There's your SMU tie-in. Oh, and Crum > the new practice facility here, IMO. Except for the championship banners.

Elliot Williams, or Email as he likes to be called, is a stud. The Plumlee brothers are just the newest in a long line of stiff white Dook bigs. The ACC isn't sweating those kids see Shavlick Randolph, Taymon Domzalski, Greg Newton, Cherokee Parks, Joey Beard etc. The next time they have one pan out, will be the first one since Laettner. Czyz is super athletic, but not much of a hoops player yet. He's a garbage man.

They have some monsters in the 2010 class coming in, though. If they get Kenny Boynton, 09 is pretty sick as well
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

yep, Taymon was ACC All-frosh...then Elton Brand came to town the next year. Made the most of his scholarship, though and went to med school at Duke.

If Duke beats out Florida for boynton, they are right back in the thick of it. A backcourt of William, Boynton and Andre Dawkins('10) is absolutely disgusting. That said, Roy is killing the country in recruiting right now. Only ships I'm sure he wishes he had back were to the Wear twins. Vastly overrated.

I think you're going to see Maryland get back in the thick of it, again. Lefty's kid, Chuck Driesell, has pulled two very good bigs for 09 in the last month. They expect 3 top 50 verbals from the '10 class.
