SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I don't allow myself to like too many non-Mavs, but LeBron may be my favorite. The guy's an unreal talent. He was so hyped by the media coming into the NBA, but he has actually exceeded those expectations. He is an upcoming free-agent and has listed NY, LA and Dallas as possible destinations. Granted, I think he is throwing Dallas in there to drive his price up, but we can always hope.
