Big 12 officials were part of the presentation in Indianapolis, so I wonder if SMU has any shot at all at being a local host school...

most likely not. get real.

im going out on a limb and guessing that Indy, New Orleans, ATL, and H-town will be hosting the sweet 16 and elite 8.

If we're not playing in it, I hope not. I hate that place already, and the doors aren't even opened - or attached - yet.

I'm with you WildHorse. Too much hype already.

Can you imagine what it is going to be like around here from July 'til the first home game?

Like it or not, the building is drawing all of the big time events that they said it would when they were trying to get Dallas to buy into it.

Super Bowl -- Check
Cotton Bowl -- Check
Final Four -- Check
NBA All-Star Game -- Check

It's most unfortunate that it's not in Dallas. Thank you Laura Miller and Co.

Dallas will still see a sizeable economic impact from those events and won't have to foot a dime of the bill. Somehow I don't think many people will be spending much time in Arlington.
