I realize everyone makes mistakes, but despite what Thursday's paper says, I don't remember our women's basketball team playing the University of Arlington.

And are we the "defending Conference USA Champion Mustangs"? I thought that was UTEP - didn't they win the conference title, and we won the conference TOURNAMENT? Or is it the other way around?

You have it right but I am not sure of the protocol on claiming the "Champion" moniker. 8)

The Mustangs are not the defending Conference USA champions - that title goes to the UTEP Miners, who won the regular-season title last year.

SMU won the C-USA tournament in Orlando, but UTEP is the defending conference champion.

Isn't that the same kid who wrote something about the "Florida Alligators"?

Has she ever seen any college sports? How do you not know "Florida Gators"?

the daily campus is a terrible joke now, and the only reason students pay atention is to read the police reports

I would not be shocked if she had never watched a college sporting event....and now she is editor in chief..

You're kidding, aren't you?

On the times I've been on campus this fall, the paper has actually been better than in some recent years. Is the last editor in chief graduating? Did nobody else want the job? I know they didn't pay much when I was in school, but I'd heard they make a little more now. Maybe they need to raise the pay scale.

Sadly I am not kidding. The current Editor in Chief is not graduating and from what I heard wanted the job again but Miss All-Star reporter got the gigg instead.
