I got here about halfway through the first half. A&M has more talent, but this is the worst homer ref-ing I've seen in years.

Good to be back in Dallas. College Station is a dump.

Rough day, but not as demoralizing as the score suggested. First of all, I watch a lot of women's basketball, and A&M is an exceptional team. Don't know if they'll make the Final Four, but it's not out of the question — they're loaded with talent and they have a lot of big, experienced, athletic players.

Secondly, I stand by my contention earlier that the refs were plucked out of a 12th Man Foundation board meeting, but I'm not suggesting for a minute that they decided the outcome. A&M was the better team — a lot better — and deserved to win by a lot. A couple of times, it looked like every player they had on the floor was taller than four of our five, and they were fast. Really fast.

Brittany Gilliam is a real talent on the offensive end. She's long and smooth and creative with the ball in her hands. She forced things at times, probably because she was the only one who seemed capable of getting her shot.

LaShandra Hill gave us a little spark because she's extremely quick. She doesn't have as much pure speed as Katy Cobb did, but she takes off with a lightning-fast first step. Most encouraging, she is showing exceptional passing ability. Several times she wound her way through the Aggie defense and got a pass off — accurately — to teammates who sometimes didn't catch it cleanly because they seemed surprised she found them.

Haley Day has been a terrific shooter this year, and unless she pulled the trigger early (I got to College Station midway through the first half), I don't remember her shooting a single three-pointer today. We need her to fire away.

Christine Elliott was strong on the glass again, but she's got to get more aggressive looking for her shot.

Jillian Samuels and Delisha Wills seemed a little out of sync today. Not sure why. Don't know if they were sick or something, but they seemed a little "off." No need to worry, though. Those two are studs, and I see them taking out their aggressions on North Texas State next week!
