Faye was not with the team tonight at the game. I was told by someone sitting next to me that he had flunked out of school. Can anyone verify this?

Also does anyone know what happened to Ryan Maag who also is no longer on the roster?

just about to post this. Faye was not on the bench tonight. The implication is not good.

its sad when you lose to Pine Bluff and thats not even the worst news of the night. Faye was our hope to turn this season around from the dismal start.

I saw Faye in the stands, with a white guy that had cornrows.

Radio said they were waiting for grades to come out and he should be available next game if he passed.

SMU should have been in position to be this team playing only four starters...regardless of who is in the stands!

So the word is they have to wait for grades? They're telling us they can't check with their professors to find out what has happened?

I also have have oceanfront property to sell in North Dakota.

Boy, the BS just keeps getting higher and higher with this staff.

Exactly. If he was eligible then this staff (and the athletic administration) would've done whatever it took to get him in uniform and playing last night (especially with A&M tomorrow night). The fact he wasn't even on the bench this game probably means the supposed "savior" of this season isn't coming...

This is just getting ridiculous. We're getting worse every year and (if Faye did not make grades) there is absolutely no hope for the future. Good thing we've got a 7 ft. project coming in the next class. What's the future for Doh? Because this squad in the next couple of years is going to do NOTHING.

Recruiting means nothing if you screw it up completely on the sidelines. Our team would have had a better shot last night w/out a coach.

I'm hoping this staff fully understood his academic issues with Georgia Tech before it accepted the transfer.

It makes you wonder why they were willing to take him if they knew this.

You could not have more hype coming from Doherty regarding him. And then all of the sudden, the hype machine is pretty much shut down during the first semester. Good stuff, huh?

I'm absolutely tired of getting the smoke blown up my [deleted] with this program.

Pretty sure they knew all along that they were taking a big risk in bringing this kid in, and that there was a strong chance he'd never actually suit up. Of course if somehow he gets on the court, then it was worth the risk. But if this fails, then it was a desperate attempt to get some talent in here. I don't completely remember the circumstances, but I don't recall many other schools jumping at the chance to nab this great ACC talent / GA Tech castoff.

And while we praise Doh's ability to sell the program and be this great PR machine, it also stinks of a slick talkin' used car salesman since right now he's trying to sell a program that's a big fat lemon.
