Yes - very dangerous team. They're unbelievably fast and they were hitting prayers when they got fouled, etc. One of those nights.
Virginia Tech is very good. We can beat them, but we'll have to play really well to do so.

We did play much better, and we did beat down the Hokies.

Jacksonville ended up beating IUPUI in the champiionship game. They entered the tourney with the worst record I believe and ended up pulling out two. I'm just happy to have beaten Virginia Tech.

Jacksonville wound up playing well, but they were a beatable team, we could have won the whole tournament. The main difference between our loss to Jacksonville and our win over Virginia Tech? Free throws. 10/16 (52.5%) in the loss to Jacksonville, and 19/21 (90.5%) against VT. Have to be more consistent in that area, it can make or break a game.

XtC Since the girls are shooting freethrows poorly in the home games
do you think practicing in Crum with a different background makes a
difference?

If it does they could put a picture of empty seats up on the wall.

Perhaps, but I think that's not a huge issue. The team practices in Moody as much as they can, now that Volleyball is done. I think the main issue is concentration.

True, we could have won the whole thing, but we also easily could have lost both games. It was an extremely even tournament.

I was down in south Texas on business, so I went to Friday's games. I was surprised IUPUI beat VaTech, but I was even more surprised to see how Jacksonville played. They were the best team in the games I saw.
