I was at the women's BB game yesterday when they put a picture of Alex Malone on the big screen and announced his attendance at the game. My pet peave is "Where were his teammates and coach". At the men's game, where is Rhonda and the women's team? Where are the football players?
I hear the coach's saying we need the student's in attendance at SMU sporting events, but they don't bother to attend and bring their teams with them. I can understand during the winter break the football players are probably home with their families, but the BB players are here, and should be in attendance.

Much of the women's team is in attendance at men's games when they're in town. The two teams are pretty mutually supportive of each other.

My bad. From where I was sitting, I could not see the men. Why then did they single our one player and not introduce the entire team, coach and mention tonight's game?

No offense, but womens hoops is a revenue at two schools in all of america. It's an after thought, and I'd rather have Malone and the rest of the mens team in Crum making sure they go 2-0 this week. There is no rule that they need to be supportive of the womens team.

Is the band still doing the red/blue thing where they only have to show up to half of the home games?

shouldn't make much of a difference. SMU is one of the few schools where having the whole f'ing band at a game works logistically. There are, what, 70-80 members in the whole band? For the NCAA tournament, they only allow I think 44, so 30-40 is what pretty much every other school in America sends out there.

You are right, but it seems silly to ask that other teams show up to games when a spirit organization won't even require all of its members to show up for the games. I've done it; it really isn't that great of an imposition.
