Interesting postgame sight

Postby PonyPride » Tue Jan 06, 2009 3:09 am

Coach Doherty gushed about Mike Walker after the game, saying he was glad Walker played and shot well, because he had been practicing extremely well of late.

While Coach D was singing Walker's praises, Walker walked by and grabbed a couple of basketballs, so he could go get in some extra shooting. Mentioned it to Coach D, who didn't seem surprised at all, saying just "see what I mean?"

Coach always talks about outworking the other team - sounds like Walker has taken that idea to heart. Keep it up, Mike.

Nice note, Pride.

McCoy and Walker seem pretty well entrenched as the starters, but Walker shot well the other night, and if he shoots (and works) like this, he's going to make Coach D feel pretty comfortable about his guard rotation (at least offensively).
