Red Out Memphis

Postby Harry0569 » Sun Feb 01, 2009 9:20 pm

In honor of mrydel, we will be having a RED out, not a white out this year against Memphis. As president of Mustang Maniacs, I have been working in close proximity with the SMU sports Marketing department to get 500-1,000 Red T-shirts that will be given out to students and ticket holders in the lower bowl. I hope this will quell the "Bad fans" debate and will really hype up the crowd. We always play Memphis well, and I just have a small feeling that the game will be closer than the experts think. Get ready and WEAR RED to support the Ponies!

Our fans that do wear S.M.U. colors will probably wear blue

instead of red just like when we play rice our fans wear navy

and when we play houston our fans wear red.

I would be nice, if people in the premium lower bowl seats, would just show up for the game.

I had mentioned being happy with the red in another post, but I will say that if you had anything to do with the "red out" that I am very proud of you for supporting one of our school colors. Good work.

C'mon, White, the kid is fightin' an uphill battle when it comes to SMU "spirit". Knowing the greeks will be wearing their "own" colors, it'll still look like grandma's quilt in the bleachers. I hope I'm still around to see the day that the SMU shirt displaces the greek shirt at sporting events.

I think that we should be doing a white out instead of a red out. Think back to the white out game that we did for football. Those white sun dresses were great on the boulevard.

Has PK approved? Is this really a Harvard Crimson-out?

Hell, I would settle for a greek t-shirt in SMU colors.

We should do one for the women when they play UAB on Feb. 15. That's a team that really needs all the hype it can get.

As for the game, I think I heard the team is wearing red and Memphis is wearing white.
