Doesnt seem to be working out for them this year. I love it...
whats the issue? I thought Drew was a recruiting machine?? Are they too young? The Big 12 South is way down this year.

Not really sure, I thought they were going to have a really good team this year. They have lost several close games that could have gone either way at the five minute mark. The records are down in the Big 12 South, but there is still a lot of talent on most of those teams and its tough to face those teams day in and day out.

Probably has a little bit to do with the fact that other Big 12 Teams recruit a little bit too. No doubt they had a bad loss on the Road at Tech but the other 5 losses are to opponents with a combined 104-17 record.

Athletically, they are better but they play a pretty undisciplined style of ball. That always comes back to bite you in conference play. I thought their season was going to take off when they won at Kansas State.

But I think their issues with Texas (23 straight Ls) sent them reeling.

BTW, helluva game between Kansas and Missouri Monday night. Great finish. Amare (sp?) Carroll might be the player in the country nobody knbows about.

This is the issue. Drew has no interest in teaching defense. They aren't talented enough to consistently out score teams that attempt to D up, at least a little.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones
