In the lastest Sagarin ratings UTA is ranked #154.
North Texas is #176
UTSA is #181
Lamar is #211

The only schools in Texas ranked lower than our SMU Mustangs @ #240 are:

Texas State @ #259
Prairie View A&M #311
Houston Baptist #323
Tex Pan American #333
& Texas Southern @ #340.

Impressive

You people seriously need to find an outlet for all this pent up rage. Take up knitting or something.

My guess would be our tax dollars.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
