Who Replaces Bamba Fall?

As frustrated as I get with Bamba, with his usual 2-3 traveling calls per game, I still like his shot blocking (huge against Rice) and his slams.

Who replaces him next year?

I am in kinda the same boat, his walks are frustrating, especially when you see how far he has come on his shot. When he doesn't get called for traveling, his shots around the basket are creative and deadly accurate, he has the hook mastered and is even good at just flipping them over his head off the board, no look style.

And of course, his rebounding and shot blocking has been really important to us.

We won't have anyone to replace him, but maybe that will not be a bad thing, we will have to go smaller, count on Otis and Dia.....With Faye and Nyakundi on the floor, and maybe even Malone, we still will have pretty nice size and can maybe run a bit more.

We are almost always taller than our opponents, but it hasn't got us very far, We will all miss the great Bamba Fall, but maybe a smaller team will have more success.

He had three traveling calls, in the second half of the Rice game.

Not "all" of us. Although he has had a brief moment here-and-there in our 8-win 08-09 season, he still qualifies as a big time "spare".

I think we will most likely have to go with a 2 gaurd 3 forward type line up...with faye(6 foot 9), dia (6 foot 9) and nyakundi along the front we still have some pretty good size. With McCoy and Williams in the back court we should have enough ball handling because both are more combo gaurds with good ball handling skills than pure point gaurds or pure shooting gaurds. Bring in walker off the bench in the back court and malone (if he is still around) and otis off the bench for the front court and we should be able to run and be pretty athletic...

I'd be ok if we just added a 6'7 SF that can get it done. Score & tough on the glass.

I hope they go the JUCO route although Marcius is getting some pretty serious love from some very good programs. Also, I totally disagree with the way Coach Doherty has handled TK. No excuse for lack of PT on a team with 2 conference wins & 8 w's for the entire season. Either TK is really bad or Coach Doherty has done a very poor job of getting this kid some game experience.

Come on now, thats a bit mean spirited. He is number 2 all time on the SMU shot block list and his rebounding and presence in the paint will be missed.

Even with his 3 travels against Rice, he ended up with 12 boards, 4 blocks and 10 points and has had several solid stat games this year. Agreed that he is no dominant big man but he is definately more than a spare.

That is 3 feet shorter than the one with which women will not touch me.

Funny, but are you referring to how skinny he is or TK?
