looking at the St Mary's vs Gonzaga game and those team's seasons...Gonzaga in particular has an impressive non-conference schedule and record. St Mary's didn't play as many heavyweights, but also lost very few this year.
Of course, St Mary's by a good margin at UTEP and Memphis handled Gonzaga pretty easily.

What's cool is that the WCC tournament is being played in Las Vegas and the place was packed Sunday for the semifinals and Monday for the title game.

We actually beat St. Mary's on a neutral court at the Anaheim Classic. We won by 12 but were up by like 22 at one point. One of the high points of the incredibly frustrating roller coaster ride that has been UTEP's season.

Isn't that the John Wooden tournament? At the AnaCrime Pond/Honda Center?
