Always gotta pull for my Owl Buddies! Hope they can hang on.
Either last year or the year before, weren't they the number 12 seed and made it all the way to semis?

yep. not sure what seed they were but they made it to the semis and lost to UH.
Rice up 9 with 5 to play. btw, their leading scorer in this game is a freshman guard from DeSoto who is a good outside shooter and is almost 90% from the line this year.....that must be nice

Rice up by 9 with 6 minutes to go....Marshall putting up 'SMU' like (before our turnaround!) numbers of 22 points in the first half, only 12 in the second.
Makes me wish we would have notched that one more conference win to take that 10th spot and be in this game.

Rice almost blew it - but they won, 60-59.

Heh, good for Rice...Lots of Memphis folks [deleted] about it. Rice brought no fans, no band, no cheer squads...only ones to show up was the team.
Marshall had a nice contingent of fans, full band, Cheer AND Dance team...and are now gone before lunch was over...
Speaking of which, I assume we are sending our band and cheerleaders, but have yet to hear of anyone attending. Anyone know of anyone going or going themselves?

Even more suprising, Southern Miss putting the @ss whipping to UCF, they lead 42-25 at the half.
Amazing that two of the 3 teams we beat this year in conference play are about to advance to the next round.
Maybe this is Opposite day and we can keep that trend going.
In the meantime, Im going to lay down crazy cash on Tulane to advance!

Please let's pray to God that today is in fact opposite day, and we can pull off the huge upset.

SoMiss wins by 24....77-53...who saw that coming?....
The 10th and 11th seed have advanced...time for the 12th seed to join them...Hope there is still some upset Mojo left for us.

Tulane has a 14 point lead with 12 to go over ECU, so looks like the upsets stop here...
Really Freaky that SMU's 3 conference win opponents have all advanced to the second round......Getting beat by SMU must be a good luck charm, bet Memphis and Houston wish we woulda beat them now!
All three teams winning that we beat really outta catapult our RPI!

I think it's fair to say you have been smoking the wacky tobacky all season about our team.

I'll have the last laugh when our RPI has jumped to mid 200's!
I hope you know I was joking about that
ECU is still hanging around, down 8 with about 8 minutes to go.
