another shocker in CUSA

for the good of CUSA, we really need to hope that Memphis makes a run deep into the tourney. I'm assuming the will be a #2 seed. Would like to see them make another final 4 run.

I assume Tulsa and possibly UAB will play in the NIT, with Houston and UTEP playing in the CBI or the new dot com tourney.

We all know CUSA stinks, but sure would be nice for some of those teams to win some post season games

This should just be re-named as the Memphis Invitational. This conference has got to get better overall. Somebody has to emerge -- Tulsa, UAB, Houston -- and beat them.

The credibility of this conference will always be in question unless this ridiculous winning streak ends. The conference is starving for depth.

Unfortunately, if someone beats them people will not say CUSA is better, they will say Memphis is not as good as people think.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The only way people will say we have gotten better is when we have 2-3 serious teams playing in the dance.......yikes.

Agreed. That's why I made the depth comment at the end. We've got to put 2-3 in the NCAA every year.

Careful. You might get the bends going that deep.

I know, but I'm tired of losing, as are most of the people on this board. I think the problem is that the prevailing attitude among the student body on this campus is that "we suck" and "those other teams have a better shot of knocking off Memphis than we do."

At some point in time, someone has to say, "Wait, we've got some talent on our basketball team. We're just as talented as UAB...we almost beat them this year. Why can't we be the team that knocks off Memphis?"

If any SMU basketball players read this board, ask yourselves, "Why not us?"

It's time to get rid of the losing attitude in our student body as well. Why can't we go out and be competitive for a postseason spot next year?

Why not us?
