You are correct, ASDF, about the Pac 10 and Wooden era. And good initial post, by the way.
Memphis steamrolling through the league, year after year, without a challenge is an embarrassment for CUSA. Nationally, the league is viewed as 'Varsity' (Memphis) and 'JV' (everybody else).
That said, the way Memphis has recruited the last few years, they would be very good in just about any league but the way they manhandle everyody else in CUSA is terrible for the perception of the league.
Reminds me of Big 8 Football back when OU and Nebraska dominated - 'Big Two' and 'Little 6'.
