I hate the fact we were a one and done team, but for a team that is "rebuilding", what a season.

Congratulations on the CUSA Championship and a fantastic season.

See ya next year.

Got to echo both of these posts. I was fearing the ultimate rebuilding year, and this team played hard, played well and exceeded my wildest expectations. Rhonda and her staff did a fantastic job.

I know the coach at UCF directed a big turnaround in Orlando, but I can't believe the job she did this year was better than the job Rhonda did. She should have been CUSA Coach of the Year.

I think the coach at UCF is a second year coach, and does not have a single junior or senior on the team. Someone posted that the La Tech coach, took over in mid season this year, and the only senior on the team, is a bench warmer.

Being a Lousiana Tech fan, I can answer half of that. We have two seniors, one a guard, one a forward and their placed 9th and 10th on the season as far as scoring. Hopefully our 2 all-conference bigs (both juniors) will be able to step it up earlier this next year.

As far as the new coach, since the first game in the NIT, we had I believe 9 wins and one loss in overtime since Teresa Witherspoon took over (she's alumni, and had a fair few years of WNBA experience. As far as H.C. experience, not so much, I think she had a year at a D2 mens program but I couldn't tell you the results.

Great to be able to play another good program, good luck next season and hope to see you guys later.

If any coach on the Hilltop deserves a long term contract......it is Rhonda. Hopefully our mens team can be half as successful as what she has built the womens program into.

She's a hell of a gal too. God save the Rhonda?
