More Billy Gillispie fallout from Kentucky

I realize this is going to piggyback the other Doherty thread, but...
I was listening to Doug Gottlieb this morning, and he thought it was pretty much -- again his opinion -- that Gillispie is done. Just like Seth Davis' report.
Gottlieb cited a strain between Gillispie and AD Mitch Barnhart and the faithful and the playboy lifestyle Gillispie leads. That doesn't bode well when you're not winning enough.
Plus, Gottlieb mentioned that -- I forgot this happened -- that Gillispie had some middle men call about the Oklahoma State opening last year before it went to Travis Ford.
Three other things about the Kentucky season:
1. When it's a bad year in the SEC and 3 teams only go to the NCAA tournament and Kentucky isn't one of them, that's a problem.
2. When Kentucky goes to the NIT, that's a problem
3. When Kentucky goes to the NIT and plays 2 of its 3 games ON THE ROAD, that's a problem.
I guess the Memphis fans are going to get worried because Calipari's name is already being thrown in there. Speculation from ESPN radio is that they would call Pitino then Florida's Billy Donovan and then Calipari.
Gottlieb thought Gillispie would take a nice buyout and probably return to Texas, probably sit out a year and try and land somewhere in the state.
Question: If Doherty has another poor season and Gillispie is out there, do we think Orsini would make a move?
I think the major issue to follow with Doherty is whether talk will surface about a contract extension during his fourth year. If the season tanks and the talk is quiet, that would be telling. No coach wants to go into the "fifth" year of his deal without security.
Extensions are a big part as to whether a coach is coming back or not.
