good for CUSA indeed...but the Miners need to finish this deal. Oregon State was one of 2 teams in that tourney with losing records.

Teams have split the first two games. Game 3 is Friday in El Paso. It's on HDNet if you want to watch it. Actually, I have. Games have been pretty good.

Has a Texas school other than UTEP(Texas Western) ever won a National Basketball Tournament? I dunno. Texas teams could win 2 this year with Baylor playing tonite in the finals of the NIT.

Texas won the NIT in 1978, thats the only other one I know about.
Really sad how the SWC could never really do much on the national stage through all those years, guess thats the price you pay for being a football conference.
And I still have visions of that Fiasco and Meltdown we had against UTEP out in Lubbock, UTEP looked so inept, hard to believe they made it this far.
Good for them though, I will be pulling for them.

Let's hope C-USA can get this one today.

I tuned in and saw that UTEP was up 11-0, then started watching something else, was suprised to surf back over there to see them interviewing the triumphant Oregon State coach, would have never thought they could have come back in a hostile enviroment like that....guess UTEP channeled some our second half meltdown mojo.
