They are really high on Drew and seem to think that Memphis is a step up from Baylor. Baylor is in the Big 12, it is a private school with deep pockets and I just don't see Drew being interested. He has a great gig and is building a great program down in Waco.
Maybe I am wrong but I think they are going to have to settle for a has been or someone with baggage, or an up and comer in a non power conference...I just don't see them snagging someone else's top coach from a Power Conference/team like the Memphis fans seem to think they can do.
Memphis has deeper pockets, better facilities, and an easier city to recruit to than Baylor has. I've thought from the beginning that Scott Drew would be interested in the Memphis job. That might be Memphis' only chance to snag John Wall, too.
I'd have him on my list as perhaps a plan C or D, with Travis Ford being Plan A and Brad Stevens being plan B. If they could convince Sean Miller to leave Xavier for Memphis, he would be a good choice as well.
