Graduated SMU center Bamba Fall has two NBA workouts this week.

He'll work out with the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday, before heading to Milwaukee to work out Thursday for the Bucks.

The NBA Draft will be held June 25 in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Isn't Bamba's dad on the staff of the Mavs. I actually could see him getting drafted late second round by a team that needed a big man.

I don't see him getting drafted, but if there's a team out there that needs a D.J. Mbenga-type of guy (block shots, rebound like crazy and don't shoot unless you have an easy dunk), I could see him getting picked up as a free agent. Sure hope so.
Thanks, PonyPride. Hope Bamba gets a chance.

Not a chance Bamba gets drafted...come on....lets look at this realisticly. Lets not forget the main difference between bamba and DJ Mbenga is about 40 lbs. Bamba could not dominate...forget dominate, he was average in C-USA against average competition. He would get eaten alive in the NBA

Bamba will get picked up as a free agent and someone will put him on their NDBL squad for a couple of years to see what happens with the kid. As they say, you can't teach size.

I like Bamba and it's cool that he's getting a tryout, but seriously... if DJ and Bamba were playing one-on-one to 50, DJ would probably smoke him 50-0. Bamba has basically no offensive game and will get pushed around by NBA centers that have 50-75 lbs on him. DJ has 40 lbs on him and probably the same body fat.

Mbenga has no offensive game, either, which is why he gets off the bench only in specific situations. Maybe Bamba could find a similar niche.

Good luck in Milwaukee tomorrow.
