stern has a valid point, they want to see these players play against better talent...
lets be totally honest, there are only a small handful of HS players who have the ability to make it in the NBA. There are lots of others who clog up the system and never pan out and end up wasting the NBA's time and their own when they could play and develop their talent and perhaps actually have NBA careers.
for a solution i propose that HS grads be allowed to play for two years in the D-league to see if they will be viable draft picks and if not their amateur status will be preserved but they will only have 2 years left of NCAA eligibility. of course they will have the opportunity to be paid in the D-league but, really, who cares if they are?
