Texas A&M adds rising junior combo...
By Van Coleman [email protected]

Mark Turgeon and his Texas A&M staff received a commitment from 6-3 junior combo Jordan Green...

According to a source close to the program and confirmed by the The Eagle the Texas A&M Aggies have added to their Class of 2011 with the commitment of 6-3 combo guard Jordan Green from Flower Mound, TX.

"I felt like Texas A&M was the perfect place to go so I decided to commit. [Committing early] takes a lot of pressure off me and at the same time puts a lot pressure on me," Green told The Eagle. "I know I have to work on my strength and get my school work straight, making A's, so I can be ready to go to college."

Green is a 6-foot-3 combo guard averaged 8.3 points and just under 3 rebounds a game as a sophomore last season at Flower Mound earning second team all-district honors. He is a long and quick lefty who has range to the arc and the handling and passing skills to play the point or run the break. He is just maturing physically so look for his stock to continue to rise this coming year.

He chose Texas A&M over interest from UNLV, Utah, and SMU.

He joins guard Jamal Branch in the Aggies Class of 2011

Green has huge upside. Had a very good summer on the circuit, named all tourney at Real Deal and TOC. Longest 6'3 athlete you'll ever see and can drop 3s. Flower Mound is ball control, so he didn't get the looks he should. Good pick-up by A&M. Kid is gonna grow a few inches, I'd bet.

Jordan had a great summer with our Dallas Heroes. His HS stats dont come close to painting the picture of what kind of player he will be. He was an unknown for the most part before this summer. One of the best shooters in the state and cousin of Gerald and Danny Green...his upside is thru the roof.

Will grow to be at least 6'6. Works hard...athletic...and great team player.

Keep an eye on those Heroes!

Im working on it! I think we've worn out our welcome on the Hilltop though.

We have a good group of guys coming out for the next several years and will be adding even more future Stangs too!
