I Just Can't Take It Anymore!!

I really wanted Doh to be the guy to get us where we need to be but after 3 years of misery and especially last night I just can't take it anymore. Constantly losing to inferior teams like TCU has put me over the edge.

I refuse to go to a game and watch zero offense and an uninspired team. I've been around athletics all my life and there something wrong going on between the team Doh. No team chemistry and it seems the players are afraid of the coach.

I have two floor seats that are for sale. I think they are $30 a seat and they come with a Binkley parking pass. Just PM and I can arrange for you to pick them up at the Moody ticket office or if you live up near Allen or McKinney we can meet up.

I really wanted Doh to be successful here, but I don't think you can look at where we are now and say we are going anywhere but down. This program has reached an alltime low at this point. The question now is does Orsini give Doh one more year or does he pull the plug on this thing now?

You're gonna make someone pay money to watch.....you should be paying them money to suffer thru it for you.

Your right about that. I need the money to pay for the high blood pressure medicine after watching the game last night.

If you’re in section NN 3rd row or lower and our willing to give up your first right to refusal through the ticket office I’ll buy them.

I think we'd all be a lot happier if we supported Rhonda's team and stopped wasting our time watching this Doh team...
Next Wednesday's crosstown rivalry will actually be a good game between two really good programs (I'm assuming TCU women are still good, but I have no clue really).

TCU Womens BBall has Top 25 votes in both polls but they are not in the top 25. They have a record of 5-2 and beat Kansas in the Bahama's..This will be a good test for Rhonda's squad and a great win if they were to pull it off.

I can understand frustration with SMU athletics. I'm with you on that. What has peeved me the most since 1968 is poor attendance, our Achilles heel. The old excuse used to be professional teams in the area took our fans away. Then the excuse was the death penalty made SMU irrelevant, Now the excuse is we have poor coaching and losing records. It is ironic that one of our good fans wants to boycott future games and thereby contribute to our biggest problem- no butts in the stands.

The truth is, we have enough alumni in the area to put 30,000 people in the stands at football games, and 7,000 at basketball games. With that support, any one of our former coaches in both sports could have won with better recruits. And our current star coach JJ would have four star recruits.

But, since we have a lethargic alumni base, we have to do what we can by getting superlative coaches and hiring buses to bring in future fans.

we need a bus brigade for Men's bball. Not sure how you change the apathy. We definitely had a better OOC with Wake Forest, etc a few years ago - but the no name colleges have never been more than 1500. Even if we were #10 in the country, I'm not sure how full it would actually be.

Step back from the ledge...

TCU has won 13 of their last 18 men's basketball games versus SMU.

If the Frogs are inferior what does that make the Ponies?

Poorly coached!

Did you even go to the game?

If you had you would have seen a man for man more talented SMU team get whipped and out coached by a less talented TCU team. It happens again and again.

So very true...and this is what makes recruiting so difficult. Our game day atmosphere is as weak as any Division I program. Every new coach comes in with enthusiasm, but our alumni base remains pretty consistent. I guess it's what defines SMU
