Time to make some noise
Posted: Fri Jan 22, 2010 11:47 amBack in the 06-07 season, Doh's first season, the team started out 10-1. In 07-08, the team had a 4 game winning streak. Mixed in over the last 3 1/2 years u find a few 2 game winning streaks.
Other than Doh's first season (his least talented team
), this program hasn't been able to build on any positive momentum. Momentum's a funny thing. If you can ever catch it, like the football team did, you start to believe & things start going your way. You start winning the close games, etc..
Looking @ the schedule, I see a great opportunity for the team to gain some momentum & actually have a pretty decent season. It had to start with a road win @ Rice & its never easy winning on the road, but they did. Next, back to back home games with Houston Baptist & UCF & a legit shot to win 3 in a row. Then Memphis comes to town, followed by two more winnable games on the road @ Southern Miss & Tulane. A realistic chance to be 4-4 half way through the conference schedule. Its not going to be easy, but it is possible.
