The 2009-10 season has been a bumpy one for the SMU men's basketball team. But after some midseason struggles, there have been signs recently of improvement. Even in a heartbreaking loss to UAB, the Mustangs showed the ability to establish a big lead over one of Conference USA's top teams, and since that loss, the Ponies have reeled off three consecutive victories.

PonyFans.com's Donatas Rackauskas weighs in on the team's recent improvement, and hails junior forward Papa Dia for his vast improvement since last season.

Glad to see Papa Dia get a little love from someone who really knows the game, because he has quietly played pretty well this year, like the player some people thought he could be when he was a freshman.
