Williams possibly out for Memphis... and with the departure of the big fat french dude center, Memphis is a bit thin...we should be able to hang with / beat Memphis State on Sat...

Not at home in Memphis with the great crowds they get...SMU (Papa Dia especially) was amped for the last game at Moody, and don't see that happening again....would love to see it though.
I agree with Pony_Fans and maybe we get lucky also with an extra win at the tournament if we end up in the middle of the pack.

I would agree that is the "most likely scenario", course the big question is can we win one of those we shouldn't or, just as likely, blow one that we should win. It would be great if we steal one from either Memphis or Tulsa and/or beat Marshall at home.

This scared me, thought you meant OUR Williams, then I was surfing the Memphis site and saw their Williams is questionable. Glad it was not Derek!

Can you believe that our current 5 wins in CUSA play is the first time in SMU's 5 seasons in CUSA that we have won more than 4 games? Pathetic.
A strong finish of 3 Ws in the last 5 would give us 8 conference wins and likely secure a top half of the conference finish. We'd be rolling into the CUSA Tourney with a little bit of confidence and who knows what could happen then.

Just don't see us losing to Marshall at Moody. Hoping for a decent slot in Tulsa.

I'm hoping we can somehow beat Houston. They killed Memphis last night.
Marshall is coming on very strong so I'm not sure we can beat them.

win at home, guys. this is where we really miss having a big home court/crowd advantage. I hope Mustang fans will rally to support these guys down the stretch.

bump.
I hope I'm wrong. We could have a decent chance @ Tulsa if we play like tonight and keep Jordan in check. Marshall is a good team.

wasn't exactly going out on a limb though, was it? what's everyone's pick for the tourney? one and done, or do we win that 1st round game?
