Second hand info, but we'll see. I know you like the Reggies and the lift they have given Doh on the recruiting trail. I would factor that in to any decision, definitely, but I still have the rhetorical question in my mind of what if one or both of them gets a better offer like assistants at mid majors often do. Then what? Do we have confidence in Doh as a program builder is still what it comes back to.
Clearinghouse issues exist, as they do w/any Euro's or kid's waiting on scores. Both Euro's will have their amateur status analyzed, simple as that. Smith still has to some work to do w/regards to qualifying, but that's not uncommon at this stage of the game. I'm not sure any of it is worth getting worried about right now, but I don't think what you've heard is wrong per se.
I like the Reggie's, but I know who else they interviewed for those positions, and we'd have been in good shape w/several of them. If they were to jump ship, that would hurt mostly b/c we need stability to be good. Beyond that, I love the kids Geary prospects out west. He has a nice eye. If Brown can pull Holmes, he'll have earned his pay.
I'm not sold b/c results matter. That said, the plan makes sense to me now. I've never felt we should try and out-athlete diploma mills. You have to have a different tact and we seem to now. We need shooters & passers to make it work, though. Also, a PG to make it run, not a lead guard
