SMU just put its third sub in for the first time. No Alice Severin, no Christine Elliott — incredibly thin bench.

Terrific performance against a team we lost to a couple of weeks ago.
Tulsa had no answer for Brittany Gilliam, who was strong on both ends of the floor.
Haley Day had a nice game, too, hitting her shots (don't have the exact numbers) and hitting the boards.
Sarah Shelton and Heidi Brandenburg did a terrific job in the post. When I saw we had no Christine Elliott as well as no Alice Severin, I thought we were in serious trouble.
Biggest tip of the hat goes to Rhonda Rompola and her staff. The fact that they got another 20-win season is amazing. Tulsa looked like they had never scouted SMU tonight, and Coach Rompola took the Tulsa coaches to school.

Hard to believe we lost to Tulsa at Tulsa. Our swarming defense totally dominated the game. Haley Day brings so much energy to the game and it rubs off on everyone. She is one tough lady.
