Here is the list of potential PG prospects for the SMU hoops 2010 class. Doh was in Cali just last night watching Shamburger in the CIF State playoffs. He's an SMU lean right now, was originally a Portland verbal. Loyd, Allen and Roque are all scheduled to visit in the next month. I'd say we lead for Roque as well. Loyd is probably 50/50 and Newell/Allen are reaches, we're the darkhorse. Love me some Fabyon Harris, but no idea if he has grades.

Suffice it to say this is an excellent list of PG prospects for the Spring period. Add any of those kids to our '10 class and we have a top 3 class in CUSA, IMO, w/o question.

Jon Loyd
Keith Shamburger
Calvin Newell
Bryon Allen
Evan Roquemore
Fabyon Harris

Any idea who other than Faye and Williams will be gone next year if we sign a PG? If my math is correct we only had three scholarships available and all have been filled. Also is there any possibility we could sign more than one PG.

Someone is supposed to be graduating early, also possible attrition. We'll definitely have one available and a second is possible, although improbable. IF a second opens up, we have a number of options. First, a kid like Sham/Loyd can be paired w/a kid like Allen, even Roque. Several of these kids, other then Loyd, can play off the ball effectively. It's also possible we could grab some additional size/big. Maybe a kid like Mikhail mclean or Jon Graham etc. '10 is going to be a good class.

Jon Loyd is #24 in white. Huge game, Bishop Gorman vs Mater Dei in the Nike Extravaganza.
