Former Pony Shannon Shorter was named the Defensive MVP for North Texas at tonights basketball banquet. Shannon has been a great asset to the team.

Shannon Shorter never played for SMU. He signed with A&M-Corpus Christi, played their one season, then transferred to Paris Junior College. From there he went to UNT.

You are correct. Did have him mixed up with Spencer.
