Welcome Fabyon Harris!From ESPN
Chicago PG headed to C-USA 5-foot-10 point guard Fabyon Harris gave Southern Methodist head coach Matt Doherty a verbal commitment over the weekend, according to multiple sources. Harris, who averaged 26.0 points and 6.0 assists per game for Hyde Park this season, chose the Mustangs over LaSalle and Nevada among others. ESPN.com describes Harris as "a small lead guard that is quick with or without the ball. He pushes the ball where he breaks pressure with ease by weaving in and out of defenders and does a great job delivering the ball on the money with his excellent court vision. "Fabyon can get in the lane where he can score with acrobatic finishes and has great body control. He can also score and in bunches when he gets into a groove. "He can knock down the three and mid range jumper off the dribble that includes a step back but he's not an outstanding shooter. But he plays with passion and competes on both ends of the court.' “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!Nice! Sounds like he will be fun to watch
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris! So now we have what 3 lead guards with harris, McCoy, and Clink but still no true point?
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!
He's a real point, they just call him lead guard b/c he scores. “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!6 assists.
Thats almost double what we had last year.
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris! The thing I'd like to know is how he feels about kicking the ball back outside when he doesn't have a shot after driving in.
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!Sounds alot like B-Hop!
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!
Didn't you see he is from Chicago! That makes him nothing like B-Hop! ![]()
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!
Check his video's, several examples of drive and kick. A few that we didn't see all of last year. “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!
Just checked em...I'm excited for next year.
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris! At 5'10", he'd better be a point guard, otherwise, he'll be eating jump shots if he tries to play the 2 spot.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!5'10 is very generous...
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!5'8" is what I've seen in some sources.
Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris!Definitely smaller then 5'10. Loyd is shorter then Harris

Re: Welcome Fabyon Harris! You want your PG to be able to hit from 3 to help spread the defense...as long as he can also penetrate and dish. Let's hope he can play right away in this league, because we really need a PG for next year.
