make sure he turns around and comes back-we may need him with a true freshman PG.

McCoys recovery is pretty darn big for the reason you mention. As of now, he has to be your starting pg, right?

his return is huge...no question about that, but as much as a 2 guard than a point. Hopefully we can put 2 guards on the floor who can both handle and shoot...while also remembering to play D.

I think McCoy shocked all of us last year with how mentally weak he is.
Having to overcome a serious knee injury is very difficult both mentally & physically.
I wish him the best but he's got a really, really big challenge in front of him.
We'll see how it works out but I wouldn't count on him being anything like we saw his freshman year.
And as previously mentioned, if he plays like he did last season I'll take my chances with the other guards on the team. If he stays, I think the best thing Doh could do is medically redshirt him for the entire season.

Hopefully between the knee injury and the dose of humble pie he got last year, this off season is the hardest McCoy will ever work. If he doesn't resemble closer to his freshman yr vs. soph then this will be another garbage year for the program. Even if he doesn't fit Doh's system as a PG, he has to be out there more than the freshman ponytail or I'm afraid this offense will be just as brutal as past seasons.

Based on what I saw last season, this team is going to struggle to put the ball in the hoop.
They did last season even with DWill & Faye. The history of Doh's teams @ SMU is that they are very poor offensively.
They are going to have to milk Dia every single game. Other returners that really need to step it up
with the O game are RN, Haynes & Clink. Hopefully Smith advertised. Pats should be good for about 8-10 per game. We'll see.
