They got outrecruited for Allen, Papa. They really didn't budge the top 3 w/Loyd. Its not always about grades, sometimes kids just go elsewhere, especially when they have better offers. It's amazing how many people are cruxifying Doh over a kid that isn't qualified.
Getting transcripts released and sent to staffs isn't science, BTW. Many times you request the transcript, ask all the appropriate people about a players qualifying, and then check him out. Transcript doesn't trickle in until later. If you waited on every kid until they had their transcripts in, you'd never look at kids, at least not in time. What you suggest makes no sense.
I'm dissapointed w/how the PG search ended as well, but Doh likes his kid. We'll see what he has. I'm skeptical, but as I've said, the staff saw all these kids multiple times. It's not like we're grabbing random unscouted kids, or taking a 2 star over a 5 star. All these kids have huge holes as prospects, or they would have far better offers.

Its interesting that they never tell u they got out recruited, etc. Its always, the kid wanted to come here until we saw his transcripts. To many talented local & state kids around here to fall for that.
If that really is the case, the staff is doing a TERRIBLE job of identifying prospects. Looks like they are chasing their tales all over the country looking at suspects. One recommendation. Do your homework, check out the kids grades before you journey all around the country looking @ kids that can't supposedly qualify. Don't buy it. Its just POOR RECRUITING. The results prove that.

Is he really qualified? Did we really jump on the other guy with no offers instead of waiting a few days for the test scores? I'd appreciate anyone who could clear up this situation.
He's not qualified by SMU standards, but he's now a partial, so he could have prepped, or go to a school like Depaul that takes partials. He still has a shot to totally qualify as well. Basically, even w/the test jump, he's still not good to play at SMU, just a bunch closer.
The kid who signed w/Utah this morning, PG from Howard JC, wanted to come to SMU. We were told he was ours by his AAU head & handler, until we saw his transcript. Now he gets into Utah? I don't care what Stallion or whomever says, the kids we can't get in, is astounding.
I heard a rumor yesterday that 6 or more of Junes kids aren't getting in too. Sucks to be us
