Re: Bball TidbitsThis was one of my favorites....
"One of the major issues has been the league's Ratings Percentage Index, which slipped to 11th in 2010 (behind the WAC and the Missouri Valley). Five of the league's 12 teams were rated lower than 190, which is essentially the bottom half of Division 1 basketball. It's not a flattering statistic, and clearly the weakest teams must improve for C-USA to gain traction as a serious league." ![]()

Need to be in the 90-120 range in RPI, IMO. Speaking of which, let's plays some MVC, WAC & WCC teams while we're at it. “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
Re: Bball TidbitsI found this VERY interesting. Will CUSA force Doh to schedule harder?

Re: Bball Tidbits
Repeated from another thread: Our SOS last season was not bad at all. 129th. Ahead of Norwestern, Virginia Tech, Illinois St., VCU (132, 133, 135, 136). A few spots behind BYU, Gonzaga, St. Marys, and Oregon St. (116, 118, 120, 128). I'd like to see us bump 2 cupcake games for 2 OU/OSU/Texas Tech type games. That would give us a SOS greater than any CUSA team other than Memphis. Currently all CUSA programs have SOS's between 100 and 140 except Memphis (85), Tulane (176), Rice (209).
Re: Bball Tidbits
If our SOS is 129 but our RPI is over 200, does that just mean we need to win more games to get the RPI up? Definitely seems like we need to improve our schedule, but if the SOS apparently was better than expected last season, then how much tougher do you make it?
