Ten of the top 25 non-BCS schools are in CUSA. Those bowl games must be paying off.

Posted: Mon Jul 19, 2010 3:18 pmI don't know if this is a misprint on thier part, but thats 'expenses,' not revenue. According to this article, we have the third most expensive athletic department in the Non-BCS world. This would help to explain how we lost, what, $50M in football over the last decade. Problem is, we really have had nothing to show for it. Houston, however, is running a department for 1/6 less than what we pay for ours and has regularly gone to bowls, beaten BCS teams, and just had a conference championship in BB, even if they fired the coach.

Posted: Mon Jul 19, 2010 3:31 pmI'd love to hear where that 35 mil revenue figure is coming from. Even including the facilities and coaches salaries donations made in recent years, that figure strikes me as high.
