Not bad, made every shot! He looks pretty good to me although it is hard to tell much from a workout like that. Not super athletic, but solid. He can only help what is going on here currently.

Thanks Papa, I'd rather see workout videos any day over game footage. Just easier to get a feel for skill level. Don't look now, but Manuel could very well end up the PG in this class.

With JPony, Giles and Alexander all more PG oriented and with Manuels with such good shooting skills, why would we want the ball in his hands to pass and not just getting the ball into his hands to shoot.....or drive the paint?

SWoods tells me they played Manuel already and he gave em 38. Good start to the season.

As far as the training...we'll get him some REAL training when he gets here and expose him to some PASSION Sports! ;o)

I thought 38 was impressive, until I realized Woods was teaching the other team perimeter D. :o

Hey, why doesn't SMU hoops use Passions to train their ineligibles & local recruits, specifically Pats, who can't practice? Pats & Vilde vs Jalen & Cannen, Leslee subs in. Nice! More people would watch that on channelsurfing than actual SMU hoops games lol

Scratch backs, keep it in family, everyone gets better. Simple concepts. Someone forward this thread to Raven.

papa, the PG thing is really worth tracking, so thanks. Either way, it's good that Manuel and Cannen are putting up strong numbers early. Heard Cannen and Big Gip went at it this past weekend. Statistically a draw. Poor Jalen missed a huge showcase at Hoopsfest. Beyond that, Kimball is hurting w/o his size/athleticism. No answer for Nash or Miles really

Fort Bend Austin was also without their top dawg, Ryan Manuel (injury), and as a result they dropped both pool games.

I ran across this note about Manuel. Does anyone have any info re: his injury?

Papawasamustang: I heard that Ryan hurt his ankle pretty bad in mid November and would be out up to 6 weeks from that time, so could be out until January .......
