Assistant coach Larry Mangino developed improvement plans for each player. Doherty said he also took ownership, deciding he could lead the team better in improving on defensive identity and turnovers.


Does this not read that someone told Doherty to back off and let Mangino lead this team?

mangino is the o coordinator and is basically in charge of execution. They hired a search committee for assistants. Its safe to say Dohs wings were clipped some this offseason
