Through 9 games...

I'm left not knowing what I think about this bunch. Very inconsistent, but when they are playing well together, they show me they might be competitive with a number of CUSA teams. Our conference is pretty weak. Will have to see how we come out after the break, but I'm thinking we will win some games in CUSA play this year. Don't have much in the way of expectations, but do hope we are competitive at Moody...and that the 1500 returns to their seats.

I just don't see where the scoring is coming from. It's a loss any night Dia & Nyakundi don't combine for 45 pts and 20 rebounds. Haynes has had his moments at PG here recently, but other than that experiment, his productivity lacks.

I like CUSA as a conference about 5 deep, after that it's a crap shoot. IF Moody were a pit, we could win a few w/this bunch of scrappers. I really have no idea what to expect other than a good number of losses. In the meantime, I want to see Nyakundi blossom, Dia go out w/huge numbers, and Frog try to win a back-up PG spot for next year. Haynes need to produce, plain and simple.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones
